IMPORTANT UPDATE - JULY 21st

US SOCCER and FYSA has JUST ruled for players born in 2002, to be moved UP from 15U to play U19 with players born between 1998-2001.  Because of this, you are being notified as your season begins with the first games the weekend of AUGUST 20th and the SEASON GOES until OCT 8th.

Also, with this change, there will be a 14U group for players born in 2003-2004.  This JUST came down on JULY 21st and NORTH LAKELAND YOUTH SOCCER has no control over this ruling.  Also, this 19U team will need to be COED so that we will have enough numbers to create the team and play. 
 
NO HEADING in 12U and below. The heading would have to be determined by the referee as intentional to receive an indirect free kick from where the header took place.

North Lakeland Youth Soccer has CLOSED the registration for our Fall 2016 Season.  Registration will CLOSED at 11:55 PM July 31st. for U4-U14, for the U19 age group their registration CLOSED ON July 22ND.  Opening day set for Saturday, September 17th, 2016.  For U19 teams (1998-2002) start their season on 8/20/2016 and ends on 10/08/2016.

Fall is our main season where each player will be assigned to a team and that team will have an assigned coach.  Teams practice during the week (once or twice depending on coach) with games played on Saturdays.  The Lil Rowdies, U6 and U8 games are all played at the NLYS HOME Fields (Corner of Green and Duff Roads - 7036 Green Road, Lakeland Florida 33810), while the U10 and older teams will play some games at HOME and some games at area soccer fields within Polk County.

COST:
Cost for the season is $90  for U6 - U19, and $50 for the U4 group and is NON-REFUNDABLE.  This covers the cost of registering the player for the upcoming season, insurance, and the cost of one (1) soccer uniform (jersey/shorts/socks) that will be used during game days.  Players will need to purchase their own cleats, shin guards, and a soccer ball. 

For U4/U6/U8 you will need a size 3 ball.  For U10/U12 you will need a size 4 ball.  For U14 and above you will use a size 5 ball. If you have any questions, your coach will be able to answer them for you.

NLYS Has a limited amount of Partial Grants available for those that would like to play soccer but may have an issue with paying the full fee.  Please fill out the Grant Application Form and bring it to one of our onsite registration events to apply and turn the form in..

ONLINE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
If you will be paying via CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD, you can sign up online at our www.nlysoccer.org site.  Just click on the Register/Login link in the UPPER RIGHT HAND OF THE PAGE.  If you have an account (played previously with NLYS) you can use your Account to log in and Register for the Fall Season.  If you don't remember your log in, there is a recovery link.  If you are NEW and/or don't have an account, you can create one.

Follow the screens throughout the process, please read each section carefully, answering as many questions as you can.

ONSITE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
If you need to pay via CASH, CHECK, or MONEY ORDER or if you need to come down and register in person, we will be holding several ONSITE REGISTRATION EVENTS in JULY.  We will be at our fields at 7036 Green Road, Lakeland Florida 33810 during the following dates and times in the building with the NLYS LOGO on it.

PLEASE NOTE - YOUR MUST BE BORN BETWEEN 1998 - 2013 to be eligible to play.

COACHES:

NLYS Is always looking for coaches for the upcoming season.  If you are interested in becoming and Assistant or Head Coach, please select the Coaches VOLUNTEER ROLE when registering your player and we will get back with you on how to become a coach.  You can also contact Endy Ortiz our Director of Coaching for more information.


There is a new state requirement that all board members, volunteers, coaches, assistant coaches, team moms, etc complete an online concussion course through GotSoccer. Coaches passes will not be approved KID SAFE without the background check and concussion course completed. The course takes about 30 mins to complete and has no charge. There is a certificate at the end that should be printed by all coaches and kept on them.

You can access the course by logging into GotSoccer, using your existing log in and password if you are an existing Coach, or your NEW login and password if you are just signing up, and clinking the "Concussion Center" 




This brings up "Heads Up Concussion in Youth Sports" option.
