IMPORTANT NOTE: this season North Lakeland Youth Soccer (NLYS) will only be doing Recreational Soccer for Boys and Girls born between 2009-2020. This covers the U4-U15 Age groups. If you are a player born between 2005-2008, we will be unable to provide soccer for you this Fall. The reason is, historically, the numbers for this group are very small .
IF YOU DID NOT PLAY WITH US IN THE SPRING OF 2023, PLEASE HAVE A COPY OF YOUR PLAYERS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AVAILABLE TO UPLOAD DURING ONLINE REGISTRATIONS!
Also, age groups (U10-U15) are set up for GENDER SPECIFIC teams during registration. If the numbers support specific gender teams (boys with boys and girls with girls) then teams will be formed in that way. However, if the numbers do not support that, we will form COED teams in the divisions as needed.
For Age Group U08, if we get enough numbers that age group will be broken out into GENDER SPECIFIC teams, but for now it is labeled as COED.

FALL 2023 RECREATIONAL SCHEDULES:
U04C-U10B should all be uploaded into your Team's TeamSnap Schedule in the app. For U10G, U12B, U12G, U15B, and U15G, coaches should have received a copy of their schedule, and they will be responsible for updating TeamSnap with the correct schedule.
FIELD LOCATIONS:
Games in the U4, U6 and U8 age groups will all be played at the NLYS HOME Fields (Corner of Green and Duff Roads - 7036 Green Road, Lakeland Florida 33810), while the U10/U12, and U15 teams will play AT LEAST HALF of their games at HOME. The rest will be played at other area soccer fields within Polk County.

ABOUT THE FALL:
Just like in previous Fall Seasons, each player will be assigned to a team and that team will have an assigned coach with at least 1 assistant coach. Depending on the coach, teams will practice once or twice a week (generally on some combination of MON/TUES/THURS/FRI) after 6 pm and all games will be played on Saturdays. Coaches are instructed to follow the 50% rule and have each player play at least 50% of the game.
NLYS will do their best to honor any player or coaching request you may have, but understand it is not guaranteed.
If you have siblings/family that need to be on the same team and they are in the SAME AGE GROUP AND GENDER, PLEASE notate that in the REQUEST BOX during sign-ups. Siblings/family in DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS will not be allowed to play on the same team unless approved by our Director of Coaching and the Board of NLYS.
COST:
The cost for the FALL season this year is $100 for U4 - U15 (2009-2020) and is NON-REFUNDABLE. This covers the cost of registering the player for the upcoming season, insurance, field fees, and the cost of one (1) soccer uniform (jersey/shorts/socks) that will be used during game days. Players will need to purchase their own soccer cleats, shin guards, and an age group appropriately sized soccer ball. If you have any questions on which ball, let us know.
For U4/U6/U8 (2016 - 2020 birth years) you will need a size 3 ball.
For U10/U12 (2012 - 2015 birth years) you will need a size 4 ball.
For U15 (2011 and older birth years) and above you will use a size 5 ball.
NOTE: SportsConnect, the company that hosts this site, charges a $3 service for each order. It is not PER player. If you have 3 players to register, it is only $3 not $9. That is paid on top of the $100 Registration fee.
NLYS has a limited amount of Partial Grants available for those that would like to play soccer but may have an issue with paying the full registration fee. Please fill out the Grant Application Form and bring it to one of our onsite registration events to register and turn the form in. Please take your time and read it FULLY, as there have been new steps added to the form. All previous versions of this form are no longer valid. If you can't print it now, we will have copies available to fill out at our onsite events.
ONLINE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
If you will be paying via CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD, you can sign up online, 24/7, at our www.NLYSoccer.org site between JUNE 1st and August 1st. Just click on the Register/Login link in the UPPER RIGHT HAND OF THE PAGE. If you have an account (played previously with NLYS) you can use your Account to log in and Register for the Fall Season. If you don't remember your login, there is a recovery link. If you are NEW and/or don't have an account, you can create one.
Registering AFTER the original deadline of AUGUST 6th, will incur a $15 late fee.
If you DID NOT PLAY, with NLYS during our SPRING 2023 season, you will need to have a copy of the player Birth Certificate available when registering.
Follow the screens throughout the process, please read each section carefully, answering as many questions as you can. If you run into an issue, send an email to [email protected] and put REGISTRATION ISSUE in the subject.
ONSITE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
If you need to pay via CASH, CHECK, or MONEY ORDER or you need to turn in your GRANT FORM, you will need to come down and register in person. We will be at our fields at 7036 Green Road, Lakeland Florida 33810 during those dates in our office next to the field. Please note we MAY add dates from time to time and we will be there even in inclement weather. These on-sites are designed for those that need to pay their registration fees by CASH/CHECK, need to try on uniforms, or need to turn in a GRANT form. If you can pay by Credit/Debit card and know your child's uniform size, you DO NOT need to come into the office during an on-site.

PARENTS/COACHES:
NLYS Is always looking for coaches for the upcoming season. NLYS is dedicated to giving new and established coaches better resources for this upcoming season. We will have a Coaching Clinic available for you to attend as well as several drills and session plans available on our website. If you are interested in becoming an Assistant or Head Coach, please select the Coaches VOLUNTEER ROLE when registering your player and we will get back with you on how to become a coach. You can also contact Endy Ortiz our Director of Coaching for more information.
We are expecting a large increase in the number of players that are registering and we will have a need for Volunteers to coach. No experience needed as NLYS will give you all the help that you need.
